Love that Sees and Responds
This past Sunday, Rev. Jake Medcalf started off the sermon series, Exodus: Love Leads. Jake spoke on the intertwining themes of Martin Luther King Jr.'s famous Jericho Road sermon with the biblical story of the Good Samaritan to address systemic injustice and personal suffering. Reflecting on the passage from Exodus, Jake spoke on the importance of recognizing those who are left in the ditch by unjust systems and personal hardships, and the call for followers of Jesus to respond actively and compassionately. We hope you watch this sermon and that it encourages you to seek personal freedom from various forms of bondage and to engage in communal efforts to alleviate suffering and bring about justice.
