SERVING THE COMMUNITY & WORLD

SPC supports missions locally and globally. SERVING is not a priority, it's alifestyle.

If you are looking to connect with God and people then our ministries and events are a perfect way to do that.

Engage in Serving

Opportunities are available to engage our community and serve others no matter what gifts you have, or time and commitment level you are comfortable with. The Christian faith is not meant to be an intellectual endeavor. Instead, followers of Christ are called to exercise their faith and to engage in what God is already doing in the world.

Issaquah Meals

For 31 years, the Issaquah Meals program has served nightly meals for the community who may need help finding a nightly meal on their plate, Monday through Friday at the Issaquah Community Hall, next to the fire station. At the request of the city of Issaquah and local churches, the program was started in May of 1989 by Catholic Community Services. Initially, meals were served two times per week and then it was increased to Monday-Friday. Volunteer groups from local faith congregations, community organizations, families, and neighborhood groups provide the weeknight meals.

SPC volunteers will be providing the meal and serving it on the 2nd Thursday of every month.  Bring your favorite recipe and ingredients to cook a meal or a pre-bought meal that serves for 40 adults. We'll meet in the SPC kitchen from 2:00-4:00pm to cook or warm up the food. If you'd also like to help serve the meals, we'll leave SPC promptly at 4pm to head over to the Issaquah Community Hall where setup, service, and clean-up runs from 4:30-6pm.

Please contact Karen Evenson at evenson4@comcast.net or (425)503-3196 with questions.
